Emery Board/Candy Cane/Pencil Holder

I bought these Stampin' Up! emery boards at Convention in July and finally designed a sleeve to put them in. I did this project with my Stamp Club this month. The emery boards are made with the same patterns as the Thoroughly Modern DSP, so we used the coordinating paper and cardstock to create the sleeve.

Supplies: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sahara Sand cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Soft Suede ink & cardstock, Thoroughly Modern DSP, 3/4" Circle Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Small Oval Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Paper Crimper, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

I designed it to use a quarter sheet of cardstock: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". We scored at 1-1/2" and 3". Punch a notch in the center "column" with the 3/4" Circle Punch. Then, use sticky strip to adhere it on the side and bottom and then crimp it for extra hold.

Here's a Christmas version with a candy cane. (Elise broke the candy cane before I could take the picture, so that's why it's just a stick and not a full cane!)

Supplies: Snow Swirled, Real Red cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Chocolate Chip ink, Merry Moments DSP, 1/2 Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Paper Crimper, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

You could use this same template for pencils or pixie sticks or other narrow treats. Hmm...maybe I'll do some for Claire's class for Valentine's Day!
